Bisexual people, who may be attracted to other people of their own gender as well as those of any and all other genders, are often misunderstood and may experience prejudice based on their sexuality. Let's celebrate together the diversity of bisexual identity.
Many LGBTQ youth still remain vulnerable to stigmatization and abuse. a lack of family acceptance was the primary concern that LGBTQ youth. Due in part to rejection by families and peers, LGBTQ youth have high rates of homelessness, physical and mental health concerns, and suicidality. conversion therapy is also one of a dangerous and discredited practice in Indonesia meant to change a person’s sexual orientation or gender identity experienced by LGBTQ youth.
Our society assume that everyone fits into the gender binary. From public bathrooms to sports to school uniforms to clothing stores, a lot of our society is built around the assumption that everyone is entirely and exclusively a woman or a man. That assumption leaves very little room for those of us who don’t fit in either, or fit in both, or only partly identify with one or the other.
We are celebrating Pride Month, Hari Lahir Pancasila and our 1st anniversary by displaying our art piece on site as a reminder for the harmony and diversity of Indonesia. We would also like to support local business who are open to pride community. It's so heartening to find people who are able to embrace others with open heart. What Unity in Diversity means to you? “Unity in diversity to me is about recognising and celebrating the nature’s wonderful creation of humankind with its diversity in race, sexual orientation, gender, shape, beliefs, language, interests, etc. Diversity teaches us to appreciate people’s journey and be thankful of ours. Diversity helps us understand that humans are bound to be different. Differences may not be united, but it should be appreciated.
