There are lots of great website platforms to choose from. And Squarespace isn't right for every business. But, I do believe Squarespace is right for a lot of businesses. Especially small business owners. You need a website platform that's intuitive, easy to maintain, and easy to update. Big platforms like Wordpress have been popular for a long time, and while Wordpress is super powerful and customizable, it can also be overwhelming and require ongoing developer fees.
