“The bigger the issue, the smaller you write. You don’t write about the horrors of war. You write about a kid’s burnt socks lying on the road. You pick the smallest manageable part of the big thing, and you work off the resonance.
I really needed this, fellow authors, it's worth the bad font and long read. and it's made me realize the real reason why I started writing: not to create STRONG female characters, but to create ones who were REAL :)
