Marine LCpl. Stephen F. Johnson, 20, of Marietta, Georgia. Died October 8, 2006, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his position during combat operations in Saqlawiyah, Anbar Province, Iraq.

Marine Cpl. John M. Longoria Died November 14, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 21, of Nixon, Texas; assigned to Battalion Landing Team 2nd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Pendleton, CA.; attached to 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward); died of wounds sustained from small arms fire while conducting combat operations against enemy forces during Operation Steel Curtain in New Ubaydi, Iraq.

KILLED IN ACTION Army SSG. Carletta S. Davis, 34, of Anchorage, Alaska. Died November 5, 2007, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 10th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York. Died in Tal Al-Dahab, Iraq, of wounds sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near her vehicle during combat operations.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Elizabeth N. Jacobson Died September 28, 2005 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 21, of Riviera Beach, Fla.; assigned to the 17th Security Forces Squadron, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas; died Sept. 28, 2005, near Camp Bucca, Iraq, when an improvised explosive device detonated near her convoy vehicle.

Army SPC David J. Lane, 20, of Emporia, Kansas. Died September 4, 2007, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Fort Riley, Kansas. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his position during combat operations in Baghdad, Iraq.

Army PV2 Clinton T. McCormick, 20, of Jacksonville, Florida. Died December 27, 2006, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 2nd Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Carson, Colorado. Died of injuries sustained when an improvised explosive device detonated near his position during combat operations in Baghdad, Iraq.

Army SPC Jeremiah P. McCleery, 24, of Portola, California. Died May 2, 2009, serving during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Assigned to 1st Battalion, 12th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. Died of wounds sustained when hit by enemy small-arms fire during combat operations in Mosul, Ninawa Province, Iraq.

Army Staff Sgt. Karl O. Soto-Pinedo Died February 27, 2007 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 22, of San Juan, Puerto Rico; assigned to the 1st Battalion, 18th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Schweinfurt, Germany; died Feb. 27 in Baghdad of wounds sustained from enemy small-arms fire.

Marine Sgt. Alessandro Carbonaro Died May 10, 2006 Serving During Operation Iraqi Freedom 28, of Bethesda, Md.; assigned to the 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.; died May 10 at the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Germany, from wounds received May 1 while conducting combat operations against enemy forces in Anbar province, Iraq.

Spc. Damien M. Montoya, 21, of Holbrook, Ariz.; was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 67th Armor Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas; He died July 9 from a non-combat related cause in Baghdad.
