In this activity, learners will explore coding by arranging words and phrases to create an order of operations in this low tech version of computer programming. Learners will cutout and fit together code blocks of morning routines to create and test their programs. This activity is an easy introduction to visual programing with the Scratch computer language. Includes step-by-step instructions, example printable program blocks and blanks blocks, and suggested extensions and adaptations.

This lesson is perfect for those just getting started. There is also an independent assignment for students to apply their learning, and a rubric to help you grade it.
