Pagaruyung Palace, West Sumatera. Rumah gadang are the traditional houses of the Minangkabau. With the Minangkabau society being matrilineal, the house is owned by the women of the family who live there. The houses have dramatic curved roof structure with multi-tiered, upswept gables, inspired some building in Europe, such as House of Five Senses in Netherland.
