I have immense respect for my hijab and niqabi sisters, but I resent the fact that the image of a devout practicing Muslim has been boiled down to only those who practice hijab or some other form of veiling.
I’ve often heard Muslims describe the holy month of Ramadan as an ‘iman boost’ – as though it were some kind of spiritual energy drink. A whole month, in other words, to recharge one’s spiritual batteries.
[lihat: Shahih Al-Bukhari, no. 5590. Shahih Ibnu Hibban, no. 6754]
