To best do this, you will need to start by soaking the cloth doilies in sugar starch. Once that is done, you can start forming it around a balloon. When the starch dries, you can then pop the balloon! I liked this pin, as it shows that you can also add a bit of color to the doily. You could probably spray paint it or even make the doily with colored thread. They make for a beautiful decorations or a romantic tea light holder
