Probably the worst thing to happen to a bathroom...Pink tile except for green or blue  ( Gag ) Amazing how the Black and grey make it tolerable. Amazing what a little design can do.

You might not think it, but there’s a lot of controversy in home decor. Animal hides. Naked pictures in the bedroom. Organizing books by color. They all have their proponents and detractors, but the one topic that gets people truly riled up is the pink tile. Pink tile: 50’s dream, modern nightmare? For every person who feels a little murderous upon glimpsing an avocado bathtub, there’s someone else starting a campaign to save the pink tile.

Mid-century homes often still sport their original pastel tile.  Black & white accents can make them look purposeful.  A wall covered with "renter's wallpaper" (peels off easily) or large-scale black & white art/photography are nice accents.  Here they've changed the light fixture to an inexpensive bar, added a nice medicine cabinet/mirror, and a new faucet.  What a difference!
