Esthoggama wood-fired kiln, Kohila, Estonia, The project began back in the mid-1990's when Professor Richard Spiller from East Carolina, USA, suggested the possibility of building a wood-fired kiln in Estonia.  Then in 1998 a collection was made during a Wood-fire conference in the States to help build the kiln.  In 2000 potters from Seagrove, North Carolina, received funding from Art Link and travelled to Estonia to assist with the kiln building.

Douglas Fur's O-gama conceptual wood-fired kiln.  Firebox to right with internal secondary air preheading tubes, one hob beneath the firemouth, 3 stacks of 12" x 24" shelves.  Flue collection area leading to chimney allowing access to loading door on left hand wall.  Walls are curved in both horizontal and vertical planes. Comments welcome.  WA
