That is what I'm reminded of, every time I look at this image taken on March 5, 1972. While following the e/b Santa Fe 805-train up to Summit, this scene developed while standing on a hill just to the south of the tracks and east of the east wye switch. The w/b UP and e/b SFe power did not meet in view of my lens, but the parting cabs did, and wouldn't you know it, an e/b (now s/b in UP terms) SP appears rounding the curve into Highland (Summit). Close, but no cigar!
