In America’s early years, entry door hardware was imported or copied from English examples. Locks were either rough iron rim locks that fastened to the interior face of the door, or mortise locks that were set into the door’s edge. We gathered antiques dating back to 1840 and reproduced authentic rim locks with all interior moving parts cast in solid brass.
