3 of (some of) my fave ways to style mid or shoulder length hair
3 of (some of) my fave ways to style mid or shoulder length hair rise hot brush - great for that faux blow dry look, think more bouncy voluminous hair styler waving - great for smoothing the hair and creating a flat, polished wave where you don’t lose any length and loose waving with the soft tong - great for looser, soft beachy waves do we like these specific videos for certain hair lengths and types? #hairideas #hairstyles #hairtutorial #mediumhair #chloeswiftstylist
Master Your Blowout! 🫶🏼
I live by the rule of 3, if I'm blow drying my hair you won't see me apply any less than 3 separate products in the hair 1 will be a leave-in heat protective spray 2 will be a smoothing blow dry cream & 3 will be an oil, this combo of all 3 makes blow drying much easier also, leaving you with a frizz-free, smooth base I like to use a medium sized round brush also. general rule of thumb is the larger you go with your round brush the more smoothing effect you'll get (rather than bounch or curl) and the smaller you go with your round brush, the more curl/flick you'll get. take out 80% of the excess water first on a medium heat before sectioning and then getting your round brush involved. #blowout #hairtips #healthyhair #hairstyling #chloeswiftstylist
ghd chronos vs. original 😧🤨
ghd chronos vs. original 😧🤨 here are my key takeaways: - chronos side was flatter and felt smoother. original side the roots were noticeably not as flat and a few more fly-aways, original side also had a bit more body and what I call ‘poof’ to the hair - 24 hours later both sides had kinked and natural wave was starting to return (this is normal for me, especially after sleeping and showering etc) - I’d still choose chronos for sure as it is better, but using the original has reminded me just of how great a straightener this is hope this helps and the full in depth video is up on my YouTube 🫶🏼 https://youtu.be/5s8eoqUHso4?si=bx5pqeSvzeUXh5Mn #hairstyling #ghd #hairtransformation #hairtips #chloeswiftstylist

How to curl long, thick hair! 🙌🏼
How to curl long, thick hair! 🙌🏼 1. Product prep 🔑 I use @ghdhair curl hold & @livingproofuk flex hairspray to make the curls hold and last 2. Sectioning 🔑 You need to be sectioning the hair into smaller sections. Thick hair is heavier and so smaller sections are definitely needed 3. Technique 🔑 1st technique is volume wrapping and then pinning to cool, this will give a gorgeous bouncy rounded curl and the 2nd technique is wrapping, rotating and keep feeding the hair through. This will give a bouncy curl but will retain more length and won’t give as much volume as the first curl Give these tips a try and you should be able to curl long, thick hair much better! 👌🏼 #curls #curling #hairtips #hairstylist #longhair #chloeswiftstylist
Curling down vs. curling up 🤫
Curling down vs. curling up Holding down: this allows you to glide 0 degrees to the floor without pulling the hair out on an elevation. This will result in the loosest type of flat iron curl and with a straighter end Holding up: you need to pull the hair out at a 45 degree angle to stop the hair slipping up and out of the plates, when elevating the hair on an angle - this is what creates more width and curl retention. So we end up with slightly bouncier, rounded curls on this side with more obvious crests to the waves and a curl pop My go to is always holding the styler down as personally on my hair I love that more head hugging shape, loose ‘cool girl’ kind of wave. Let me know what you think and which one you like best! 👇🏼 #curls #curling #flatironcurls #hairtips #chloeswiftstylist

How do you make curls hold & last? 🌟
One of my MOST ASKED questions! How do you make curls hold & last? So I thought I’d show you the power of using products. We all have different hair types, yes heavier hair can definitely tend to drop quicker & damaged hair will also loose curl fairly fast but if you’re not using any products to help your curls hold then you’re fighting a losing battle before you’ve even started! Products used: @ghdhair curl hold spray @livingproofinc flex hair spray Are you surprised by these results? (Vote in poll!) #hairtips #curling #curls #hairstylist #chloeswiftstylist
Mob Wife style hair up-do! ❤️‍🔥
Mob Wife style hair up-do! ❤️‍🔥 Using @ghdhair rise to add that blow-dry look volume, scraping the hair up with fingers (🔑 as this isn’t a super polished look!) then double knotting the pony tail, leaving out the ends which were pre-curled. You can then pin these ends bits where they lay best. Enjoy! 😘 #hairup #mobwife #mobwifeaesthetic #hairideas #chloeswiftstylist
Battle of the beach wavers! 🥊
Battle of the beach wavers! Ding ding! @mermade.hair vs. @babylissprouk Mermade waver - 1 inch double barrel waver, very tight waves, more like a crimped look, quite princessy, not very me tbh Babyliss pro - deep waver, more like a 3 barrel for a looser wave, not so much giving the crimped look, a bit looser and therefore cooler I think, kind of feel like it didn’t finish the ends as well though (maybe should have left on the ends a bit longer?) Either way, after all of that - I think I prefer my straightener to create beachy waves 😅 let me know what you think! 💛 #beachwaves #hairwaves #mermaidhair #hairproducts #chloeswiftstylist
my hair spray recommendations 🫶🏼
my hair spray recommendations 🫶🏼 these are my current favourites: @livingproofinc flex hairspray - #1 fave at the mo 😇 lightweight, flexible, contains heat protect so you can use it BEFORE you curl or wave, layers nicely, doesn’t flake off @kevin.murphy session spray - reallyyyy lightweight, very ideal for misting down flyaways on waves where you still want the hair to move @redken quick dry hairspray - a great spray to layer, very good hold but still remains lightweight and doesn’t flake when layering and doesn’t feel crispy. Dry feel - not wet and sticky! I like to use this on set/when I’m styling others. A good reliable pro spray @hairrituelbysisley invisible hairspray - the bougiest hairspray! definitely feels more luxurious when you’re using, mist comes out nice and finely diff
