This photo album generated with Smilebox Here are a few money games I made over the break. I’m hoping these will help my students become proficient in terms of counting a collection of coins and identifying them. Bank on It In the game below, the students roll a regular dot die. They cover up the coin on their mat which corresponds to the number they rolled. The first person to fill their bank wins. Your more advanced students could count all the money in their bank at the end of the game…
Daisy Scouts Purple Petal "Respect Myself and Others". We worked on self-respect since respecting others is taught in school. I recruited some Junior scouts to run little stations and split my troop into small groups. At each station the groups talked about one of the points on this map. The Daisies earned a sticker at each station. When they got all their stickers they earned the petal. I had the Junior scouts create and run their own mini-lessons for each point.
For the Zinni petal: considerate and caring . Make a "Share a Care" jar. Reuse old jars or buy containers. Let the girls decorate with stickers. Everyday the girls can share a care by pulling a slip of paper out if the jar and performing the task. For Examples: smile, tell your mom you love her, say thank you the lunch aids at school, make a card and send it to the local firehouse...etc.

It's Your Planet - Love It!: A Leadership Journey Girl Scout Daisies I can't tell you how much fun Tessa has been having with this Journey. Her excitement level while completing the activities has been through the roof, so I know ditching the suggested plant science studies for some higher-level learning was the right thing to do. (Does it sound like I'm asking for someone to pat me on the back? Well, maybe. I just love that she's loving it! Makes a mama happy.) The activities Tessa…

Girl Scout Bee Project (Daisy Flower Garden Journey)
This craft project was in reference to the Daisy Flower Garden journey. Each girl made a "bee" from their foot print. Talk about wiggle worms. I sat each girl down and painted their little feet and had them step on the paper. Then I painted the black bee strips along with the wings, face and their names. These turned out oh too cute. Hopefully this inspires you with your little ones. God Bless**

Daisy Scout Meeting Seven
First week in January 2013 Goal and Badges: Finish up Red “Courageous and Strong” Petal (though we did watch a movie to go with this in our next session) and start the four Financial Leaves. We did this as a big mishmash. We chose January to do it because it was the beginning of Cookie Season. Since it was our first we were kind of excited. Also I think the financial leaves are adorable on the front of the vest. Notes on the leaves: When you go through the handbook, the leaves really aren’t…
