Neat. But no. This is not Ireland. It is Thailand. I've seen it myself. Sadly, there is no magic castle up there, although there might be a secret spy lair inside. Nail Island is more popularly known to the tourist touts as "James Bond Island" because it was featured in a Bond film. The "before" photo (not the exact one, though) is from someone called Wondering Wandering Wanderer. The castle part, which I hope to one day see, is the very famous Lichtenstein Castle in Austria... or part of it.
At top is Mad King Ludwig's Nueschwanstein Castle in Bavaria, Germany's most famous castle and the model for Cinderella's Castle in Disney World. There is some dispute whether the lower frame shows the Lichtenstein or the Hohenschwangau Castle, Ludwig's nearby childhood home. If you've been to Germany, you may have decided which it is! Perfectly
To See // Schloss Lichtenstein is situated on a cliff located near Honau on the Swabian Alb, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Historically, there has been a castle on the site since around 1200. It was twice destroyed, once in the Reichskrieg's War of 1311 and again by the city-state of Reutlingen in 1381. The castle was not reconstructed and subsequently fell to ruin. In 1802, the land came into the hands of King Frederick I of Württemberg, who built a hunting lodge there.
