Le Flacon Tortue | GUERLAIN
Le Flacon Tortue: an homage to Guerlain's flagship boutique, by Baccarat. Le Flacon Tortue, or Turtle Bottle, was created in 1913 by Jacques Guerlain to celebrate the opening of Guerlain's 'Temple of Beauty' - the iconic flagship store at 68, Avenue des Champs-Elysées. The reason for its unusual shape was due to Jacques' irreverent sense of humour: construction delays had pushed back the boutique's opening several times. Slow and steady wins the race.
