The animation on this is superb. IKeeps the users attention and delivers its content in a stylized manner

Another graphic designer portfolio page. Nothing exciting about this one.

I'd say this site was designed with mobile devices in mind. The sliding panels left and right are a refreshing change to the up/down scroll but on larger monitors it doesn't work so well. The content looks to be squashed.

Small Studio - Graphic design for print and digital in Melbourne, Australia texture in menu and use of imagery below text

Another cliché site layout. I really don't think that the scrolling "awards" and "client" thing works . It looks too messy when content is scrolling behind it.

Brand identity for New Aker Brygge, with emphasis on quality and contrast, and an open and dynamic street environment.

At the bottom of the page Marc uses block text boxes to link users to his social media sites. The Twitter and Dribble boxes turn different colours when scrolled over but the Instagram and Tumblr turn the same colour. It seems like an afterthought and quick fix to me. I like the icons at the top of the page. 5 of them give the user the required content immediately.

**mac thomas (senior design at fueled): really cool site parallax scrolling on transparent midground on graphic background interactive scrolling and buttons all buttons designed by him show cases his work in a drawn wireframe

Another static site. The opening image is a bit stereotypical of graphic designers. The nice text on a coloured background is seen too often. The scroll bar which follows the user down the page is tasty though. Slim and subtle but with a very practical UI application.

BJÖRN MEIER'S site is a static page. The opening content of the site is an image slider of his work. I like the unobtrusive colour scheme of the site. I don't like how zoomed in the content is after the image slider. It looks like a page filler or an after thought.

I like the static main page. The background image is detailed and influential without getting in the way of the users focus. The small blurb at the bottom of the page gives a good brief description of the designer without taking up too much space on the page.

Kendra Schaefer Portfolio: I love this portfolio because of the clean style and the huge pictures. She used Wordpress for this site, and I think she did a custom theme for herself, because as the theme name it is her name, Kendra Schaefer.

This is another stereotypical design site page layout. The block content and the colour scheme gives it away. I don't like the use of google maps at the end of the page. It stops the user from scrolling and forces them to scroll out of google maps instead of continuing down the page. Sloppy.

I like the personal style of this designer. I can appreciate the gaming references from where he drew influence for his content. This would appeal to me as a potential client. This is the effect I want my site to have on users.

I really like this site. It stands on par as the work of DJNR's site does. Its different and keeps the users focus and attention while delivering its content in a refreshing manner.

I like the colour scheme and the effort for the site to look different. The content is a bit messy and could be laid out better. The design teams recent work is done well at the bottom of the page and the 'Courier' font is apt.

I like the page layout but it doesn't stand out from among its peers. The colour scheme, the background pattern and colour it all screams graphic designer. I do like how when the user scrolls over the images that information comes up about the image.

I really like this website. Its very simple but gets the content across straight away. The UI is fantastic and the background image slider gives the user its content on the spot.

Welcome to the colourful universe of Studio AIRPORT, a young Dutch design agency based in Utrecht.

Too much contrasting content. As a user I find it hard to single out and focus on any content in particular. The contact me at the top of the page may as well not exist it lacks substance and influence.
