Gerds Dayak Headhunting Sword/machete with ornate decorated handle.

Unique set of sheet metal armor used by natives on the Indonesian island of Nias. Armored vest, hinged down the back, with a ridge of spiked sheet metal down the spine. Thin handmade armor was used to repel enemy arrows during the many civil wars fought amongst the islands inhabitants. Also included is a matching metal helmet, water buffalo hide shield, bundle of arrows, and one other tribal implement. Armor measures 24 inches wide, and 26 high, and shield is 32 inches in diameter.
