Plain rep stripes alternating with double-faced warp-pattern weave stripes of highly conventionalized birds, fish, etc. in dark blue, yellow, green, red and tan on dark blue single wefts.    This fragment is medium: wool technique: 1) complementary warps in plain weave with inner wefts; 2) warp-faced plain weave; warp selvage at one end; sides are cut. Its dimensions are: Warp x Weft: 62 x 80 cm (24 7/16 x 31 1/2 in.).    This fragment is from Peru and dated "18th–19th century".
