We've all heard these more than once, but it never hurts any less every time they're said.

Boy have I heard some of this before! Take into consideration that you don't really know or understand what or how a person with fibromyalgia and/or chronic pain is going thru! What not to say to someone with chronic pain!

Regram from @butterflywithabrokenwing couldn't put it better. People assume because you "look fine" you are, its not always the case. Dont judge a book by its cover #EDS #chronicpain #chronicillness

"I'm not lazy. I'm a fighter." Education around chronic illnesses needs to improve. Few people really know the hardships and struggles that people suffering from chronic illnesses have to deal with.

I hate it when people say, you look like you are feeling better when I am not. I am not "better". My chronic illnesses are my constant companions. Just because you don't see them doesn't mean they are gone.

"She doesn't fake being ill, she fakes being okay," GET THAT EVERYONE? It sucks, and it's so hard, but it's what we chronic lyme sufferers have to do.

Invisible illness

I Believe You- the most powerful words a person with an invisible illness longs to hear. You will appreciate this quote if you live with chronic illness!

Understanding invisible illnesses, such as #lupus, #rheumatoidarthritis, #fibromyalgia, etc. Invisible illnesses are very difficult to not only explain but to live with. The frustrating comment "But you look so good" is heard all too often. Hopefully this image can help clarify what is happening beneath the outward smiles. Mollysfund.org
