Malaysian Steamed Sago Cake – Kuih Bronok or Lapis Sagu（西米椰丝蒸糕). In Malaysia especially in the East Coast states of Peninsular Malaysia, this kuih was called kuih bronok or Kuih bronok Sagu. As per Malay Wikipedia, kuih bronok is a Malay delicacy that is made of sago balls and eaten with shredded coconut. The flavouring commonly used by our Malay brothers are air bunga or rose water. Pandan can be used too.
