Griffith University Red Zone is hosting a series of digital projection installations during the Brisbane Festival over Riverfire weekend, 24–27 September 2016. Projections will showcase the work of our very own talented Queensland College of Art, Griffith University and Griffith Film School animation staff and Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University music staff.

Spotted among Fortitude Valley’s famous street posters, is the latest in our creative and digital course offerings: Bachelor of Creative and Interactive Media.

Students from the Queensland College of Art, Griffith University Fine Art elective The Street, led by Simon Degroot, have created a mural at RedEye Apps in Brisbane titled, ‘I’ve Got Your Back’. In this intensive course, the group – comprised of students from a range of fine art disciplines – was encouraged to conceive and implement their own designs. Congratulations to all involved. Queensland College of Art, Griffith University Fine Art Lecturer Julie Fragar was announced as the winner of the $15,000 Tidal: City of Devonport National Art Award 2016.

Earlier this month, renowned opera singer and art collector Conal Coad joined us at the Griffith Art Gallery for a night of art and opera. Coad performed for an intimate audience and spoke about the art collection he shares with partner Colin Beutel.
