This photograph is of "Teddy Boys," which was known as the UK's first subcultural style after the war. These boys donned Edwardian inspired dress, consisting of drainpipe trousers, a narrow bowtie, and shoes with thick soles. They also had Brilliantined hair, shaped into a DA( or duck's ass). The Teddy Boy was a very obvious, known look during the decade.
