Victorian Walnut 'Bobbin' Turned Chair


An early 19th century Victorian walnut 'Bobbin' turned chair.

The chair has a high back made up from bobbin turned rails and a seat covered in a 19th century needlework upholstery.

A pair of 19th century Victorian heavy quality mahogany hall chairs.

The chairs have wonderful backs with a turned and carved circular panel in the centre and scroll carving to the top.

The front legs are turned and the back legs are square and kick out.

The seats are solid mahogany and have a chamfered edge.

The settee has turned and fluted legs with brass casters, a padded back with scroll and fluted supports at either end and two short carved supports in the centre.

The settee has been re-upholstered in the past and the rosewood frame is in original condition. (Circa 1860)

The chair is made from stained beech wood with a tartan upholstered seat and back that has brass studded detail.


The static platform base has a pair of springs fastening the seat to it on which it rocks.


The chair is in good working condition, the upholstery has been recently replaced.

An early 19th century Regency mahogany sabre leg elbow chair. The chair has an inset top rail to the back with carved decoration and the centre has a carved scrolling detail. The centre rail has the same figured mahogany panel in the middle with a cross banded edge. The back supports scrolling arms and sabre legs which all have a reeded profile that flows into each other.
