ené Magritte es un destacado pintor surrealista que con sus obras cautivo el mundo. Comenzó a pintar desde muy joven. En 1927 se establece en las cercanías de París y participa, durante los tres años siguiente, en las actividades del grupo surrealista, se relaciona con Breton, Joan Miró y Salvador Dalí entre otros. Aporta al surrealismo parisino un resurgimiento del ilusionismo.
