Latrodectus hasselti. This is a pretty dangerous animal. A bite can kill a child or a person with compromised health, and cause agonizing pain in healthy adults. If agonizing pain is the better outcome of an encounter with an animal, it's serious. Thanks to my friend and new co-worker James for the spot!
