A feral dog native to Australia. It’s believed it descended from ancestors living with native Australians.

Numbat populations have been decimated by foxes and cats and dropped so low late last century that the species came close to extinction twice.

One of the main aims (and highlights!) of a recent trip to the Flinder's Ranges in SA. These rock wallabies have got to be one of Australia's prettiest macropods in my opinion and they are very beautiful close up. I was lucky enough to have some great encounters with this species in the Brachina gorge area in the northern part of the Flinder's Ranges NP.
