I heard this group of baby alligators before I saw them. They were calling their mother who was nearby. Their sex is determined by temperature. The temperature at which the eggs develop determines their sex. Eggs exposed to temperatures above 93°F (34 °C) become males, while those at 86 °F (30 °C) become females. Intermediate temperatures produce both sexes. Seen at Shark Valley National State Park.
