April 2007 Bobby and Michael's 6th birthday The boys wanted a bug birthday, with all sorts of creepy, crawly things... I didn't plan too many decorations, but the room needed something. So I got out the balloons, scrapbook paper, and tape and made a bunch of bugs - spiders, bees, beetles, ladybugs and such. It was a lot of fun. There is no limit to the type of bugs you can make. My favorites are the bee and spider. All the kids that came to the party wanted to take a balloon home.

With a newborn baby and the possibility of a January rainstorm, I knew long ago that I wouldn't want to host a party in our home or backyard this year. We decided to have the party instead at the lodge of our community park. Thank goodness we did because cleaning was the last thing on my mind and who would've guessed we'd have an entire week of rain before the party!
