One of the best preserved figures in the crypt gallery (Gruftenweg) at the main cemetery in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. This figure is in a private niche behind locked iron gates, which perhaps explains why it is undamaged - I had to carefully pass my camera through the bars of the gate in oder to take this shot. The figure dates from 1902. Please view in full size for the best golden angelic effect.

Verano Cemetery, Rome.

I took this photo at Palm Valley Cemetery in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It's my new favourite, and you'll see her again when I figure out how to translate what I see in my mind when I look at her onto Photoshop. I just love her. This is what cemetery statues should look like.

This stunningly beautiful angel in the photo mosaic above is a bronze memorial on top of a substantial granite base of a grave identified only by the name "Valentine." It is one of the approximately 106,000 monuments in the National Historic Landmark Green-Wood Cemetery located in Brooklyn, New York, which was established in the year 1838.
