A classroom library is a must have in my future kindergarten classroom. Students learn how to read by reading! I hope to keep the library organized by topic in different baskets and dedicate time each day for free reading. The most important aspect of a classroom library, however, is not the organization but the inclusion of culturally diverse books. I want my students to see themselves in the books as well as see thier classmates.
