‘Watch her fly’ was kind of a surprise, even for me. I had very limited time to complete this artwork which meant I had to get creative. The most time intensive part of my paintings are hands down the miniature figures but this time the background delayed my entire process due to the size of the canvas and thickness of paint. Gone Clubbing started its journey as part of a commercial shoot with a furniture company. I then painted skiers on the canvas before deciding to switch up my initial idea by painting green all over the white texture. The green, however, was too overwhelming and as such I added the sandy coloured stroke along with a lighter green stroke to make this artwork look like a golf course.
