The only frozen dinner I have ever cared to eat was the Banquet Salisbury steak with mashed potatoes and corn. I hate the potatoes (instant is just yuck), but do enjoy the rest of the meal so I decided to try to make my own. This is the results of my efforts and I must say, the taste is very close, but even better. This is cheap, easy and freezes very well. If you are going to freeze these then don't freeze them in the gravy. They are much better if the gravy is fresh. Salisbury Steak with Onion Gravy…… 2 pounds 90/10 Hamburger 1 C Panko Bread Crumbs 3 Eggs 1 TBSP Onion Powder 1 TBSP Garlic Powder 1/4 C Worsheshire sauce Pepper Mix all together and make into patties. Fry patties until done then remove from pan, leaving beef drippings. ONION GRAVY 2 LARGE yellow onions (big chunks) 1 pack Lipton onion soup mix 1 pack Lipton beefy onion soup mix 4 Heaping tablespoons flour 2 Cans Beef Broth Add onions to skillet with beef drippings, cook until tender. Add 2 packs Lipton soup mix. Stir. Add Flour. Stir. Add beef broth. Stir until thick. Add more flour if needed. Add beef patties. Heat.
