Ravash Nahavandi on Instagram: "ShoulderCARs > Shoulder CIRCLES

The goal of performing shoulder CARs is twofold:
* To intentionally drive blood supply, nutrients, and oxygen to the shoulder joint.
* To develop neurological control and awareness of the shoulders movement through space.

To reap these benefits, we must infuse intention into our movements. Perform the exercises slowly and attentively, focusing on how the rest of your body reacts. This is a shoulder focused exercise, and no other body part should join the party. If this means drawing smaller circles, so be it—chances are, your range of motion is more limited than you think. Here’s how to do it right!

Stephanie Ridgway on Instagram: "Improving the strength and coordination of the scapular muscles (muscles around your shoulder blade) is important for shoulder health because these muscles work alongside the smaller shoulder stabilizers (rotator cuff) when performing overhead movements.

Improving strength in these muscles can help to reduce upper back, shoulder, and neck pain.

These are a few of the exercises that you can try to starting strengthening the scapular muscles and as a bonus, you are also working on strengthening the rotator cuff.

If you need a plan to improve strength in these muscles, comment SCAPULA below!
