First grade back to school art project using the book, "Be Big!"

When heading back to school in kindergarten, you may be looking for some fun and easy beginning of the year activities to do with your students. These fine motor crafts for kindergarten are a great solution! Plus, once completed, you can make a bright and colorful back to school bulletin board in your classroom!

At the beginning of the year, within the first week of school, I like to get something up in the classroom that personalises the classroom for the new cohort of students I am teaching. This usually takes the form of some sort of art, whether it be a self-portrait, name art or some sort of personal goal pop art exercise, these little touches from the students themselves really bring the classroom to life!

This is a great project to try at the beginning of the year or as your students are reviewing the alphabet and beginning to learn to write words and phrases.
