The town of Kota Belud is about 90 minutes drive from Kota Kinabalu, roughly halfway to Kudat and the nearest town to the jetty from where ferries to Mantanani depart. The mosque is one of the sights to take in while visiting the town, perched at the foot of a hill from where good views can be had.
