many people are sitting on benches and holding candles in their hands as they hold up mason jars

So, this year I went to Girls Camp as the "Crafts Lady". It was my 11th year at Girls Camp and my 2nd time as the "Crafts Lady". Honestly, I never know quite what to do as the Crafts Lady. All I know for certain, is I don't want to do the crafts we did when I was girl... no offense to any of the women who were in charge of the crafts I participated in as a young woman. I know they put a ton of time and effort into creating crafts specifically geared toward the theme of camp. But I remember…

Cook and Craft Me Crazy: Girls Camp Secret Sister Pockets

Of all the years I've been to Girls Camp, this is BY FAR, THE BEST, EASIEST way to store secret sister gifts. I have used boxes, cans, bags etc. and none compare to these PLASTIC SHOE HOLDERS! This is seriously the BEST investment for Girls Camp! Use them year after year, they store FLAT and are easy to put up. Hang up the pockets by threading rope through the holes at the top. Take a hole punch and punch holes down the sides of the shoe holders. Take wire or twine and tie each shoe holder…

two young children are drawing on a large piece of paper that is laying on the floor

Girls Camp is in a little over a week, and I can't wait!We had our camp kickoff a few weeks ago, and I thought I would share a few of the photos with you! We had all the wards make a flag that will be at their ward's camp site, and bring it to the kickoff. These are the flags. They are on pvc posts, and will be held up using re-bar at camp. The wards were asked to make their flag in the size of a king-sized pillow sham, using their ward's name, theme and color. If you remember my post about…

I had the opportunity to be the assistant Stake Camp Director this year, this was probably my most favorite camp I’ve been to, out of the 14 times I’ve gone! The director and I really wanted new things that the girls hadn’t seen before, so we worked really hard to come up with great classes and experiences for these girls, and we would like to share it for anyone that may be looking. Camp Theme Women Warriors We had 3 sub themes that we focused on each day Women of Faith, Women of Strength…

girls camp sunshine notes by cook and craft me crazy book cover art project for kids

After seeing my Girls Camp Pocket Post, you are probably wondering, "What are all the note cards in the pockets?" Well let me tell you...... They........ are.....SUNSHINE NOTES!
