Finally got around to processing this shot from last November where they lit the fresnel lens one last time for a small group of VIPs that donated a substantial amount to the restoration project. I just happen to be staying there that night and had absolutely no idea this was taking place. Good thing I brought my camera gear and flash. I popped a couple of flashes with my sb-800 off-camera towards the fence to light up my lead in. Have a great week folks!
I'd been wanting to do a fun cross section of a lighthouse for ages, so one Christmas I did this one for my nephew and neice. There's something very romantic and appealing about the thought of living in a lighthouse, being all cosily tucked up inside whilst stormy seas break against the sides. The reality is that I'm terrible with heights and being in the top of a lighthouse with a gale blowing outside would probably terrify me.
