Living sacrifice

Paul has spent 11 chapters telling us about the Gospel, the good news of salvation by grace alone, through faith alone in Jesus Christ alone. Now he gets practical in telling us that, in the light of God's mercy, we should be living sacrifices to Him and transform our minds to do His will.

What did Paul mean when he said to offer your body as a living sacrifice? We choose to lay down our own desires and live to honor and obey.

You are to be a living sacrifice, aflame for the things of God. Jeremiah says that there was a fire within his bones that he could not hold in. May we be all filled with passion for the things God has called us to that we cannot help but make our voice heard. As we speak, we are fanning the flame that God has also put into others.
