March 25th 2015 marks 42 years since Chicago's last trolleybuses operated in 1973. Jeff Wien of Chicago recalls, "I went out on the last day to get a few slides. Took a late lunch on that day. The following Sunday, April 1st, there was a post abandonment fantrip to say goodbye. The wires were taken down shortly thereafter."
