Stain Knotty Pine to look like Barn Wood: Originally I wanted a barn wood wall but then about splinters & the time it would take sanding each piece, so my hubby came up with the idea to use knotty pine & stain it. I wanted it to look old & found some grey stain, which looked liked paint. So he stained it twice with two different colors to get the look I wanted. First, rustic grey stain from Sherwin Williams (SW 3133) followed up by Minwax Jacobean from Lowes.
