Description Composition commissioned and currently in exhibition at the Argentinian Natural Sciences Museum (Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales "Bernardino Rivadavia"). As you might have already guessed it depicts some representative genres in the evolution of elephants. It was also fun and special to work into, because it's the first time I used 3D professionally. I'll be uploading some thumbs of the unpainted 3D models I did any time soon, so stay tuned. PS: Yes, I'm still alive.

Description My very first proboscidean, Platybelodon! Unlike common, now-outdated depictions of a swamp-dwelling animal scooping up vegetation, this Miocene elephant relative likely used its superficially shovel-like lower jaw to saw away tougher foliage that it grabbed with its trunk in drier savannahs/open woodlands.
