Couples Retreat for Rest, Recreation, Reflection: improving communication by getting out of routines
For our wedding anniversary we went on a couples retreat in the Virginia mountains. We define “retreat” as a getaway that focuses on rest, recreation, and reflection. It is a time to disconnect from our normal routines, spend time together, make space to have honest intentional conversations about relationship family topics. We explored hiking trails, the river, a yoga studio. We engaged in couples exercises for communication skills will incorporate these rhythms into our regular life.
