On a snowy October 9th, two months after our last venture down to this area, my parents, grandma, and I set out to visit the family farm near Haynes, North Dakota. Actually it is located quite literally in the middle of Haynes and Hettinger. This is what my great-grandma saw when she looked out the window while doing dishes. A view of the whole yard, as well as a nice view of the barn. of course, she had to keep tabs on the kids (my mom and her cousins), who were allowed to play in the barn…
