20130707-DSC04663 Tanabata is the Star Festibal celebrated on 7th July in Japan. People celebrate this day by writing wishes in paper strips called Tanzaku and hanging them on big branches of bamboo with colourful decorations. This festival is derived from Japanese Obon traditions and the Chinese star festival, in which Orihime (the star Vega) and Hikoboshi (the star Altair) meet each other over the Milky Way only once a year on this year. 高台寺
