This is the Steamer Trunk I did for my Mafia Project

Refinishing this classic old steamer trunk took a lot of work. After stripping the old paper lining the interior, we stained and polyurethaned the wood to a beautiful finish. The green canvas exterior was in good shape. But the straps needed to be replaced with old belts. The exterior wood was stained and the exterior brass accents were painted with Gold Leaf Rub n’ Buff.

Clean or restore an old steamer trunk by airing it out outside, vacuuming it, and then lightly wiping it off with water or vinegar. Tack in loose hardware.
