BATIK of Javanese [Indonesian] origin is melted wax applied to cotton cloth. In Yogyakarta , I watched fascinated as tradition.

The egg was made in the traditional batik wax and dye process and also etching technique was incorporated to enhance the design and give it a 3 dimensional feeling. The unetched areas were then gilded with German 22 k gold leaf.
