A hip HIKE can occur on the side of the weak glute medius, tight QL, and tight adductors. A hip DROP can occur on the side of the tight glute med, weak QL, and weak adductors (pls consult your doc) WHY? Reasons include lack of adequate movement, hours sitting, weak core, overexercising, lack of stability & strength & stretch & mobility, weak ankles/foot, tight calves, pronation in 1 foot, supination on other, weak glutes… it may be a combo of these and is specific to the individual.
