Personnel from ComEd use a helicopter and a maintenance linesman to work on high-tension power voltage lines along Milwaukee Avenue north of Route 137 in Libertyville. Technicians wear electric-field-resistant suits and because the helicopters are not touching the ground, this doesn’t cause a high-voltage arc, and the work can be done on live wires.
