For those of you lucky gals who own a cricut, this thrifty tip is for you. Have you noticed how quickly your sticky mat loses it's "stick"??? Mine seems to go pretty quick and I dread shelling out another 10 bucks for a new mat. Especially since the craft stores don't allow you to use 40% coupons on anything cricut related! Well, have I got the ultimate frugalista tip for you!
DIY| Make Your Cricut Cutting Mat Sticky Again: fingernail poliah remover (takes the sticky off) use with a baby wipe, rinse mat off, then let dry, tape the edges, spray adhesive on mat. Let dry. And yay sticky again! (Can pit multiple coats of adhesive to get sticky enough) treat with ur hands!! And you're back to automated cutting!!
You can wash and reuse your cricut mats. Just buy a cheap scrubber from the dollar store- the kind that does NOT have metal in it. The plastic kind. Then use water and a drop of dish-soap and scrub quite vigorously. Wipe off the excess water and allow them to air dry and they should be like brand new.
